Hair, skin and style
The French braid
It works like a classic braid, but you add new hair at every step.
4 min
A French braid starts at the top of your head and keeps your hair tidy all day. It's great for sport and school.
Step by step
- Brush your hair and take a section above your forehead.
- Split it into three equal parts and do one step of a classic braid.
- Before crossing the left strand, add a little loose hair from the left side to it.
- Do the same on the right.
- Keep adding hair at every step until you reach your neck.
- Finish the rest as a classic braid and tie it off.
If it isn't working
Your arms will get tired the first time, and that's normal. Practise on a friend or sister first, because it's easier to see on someone else. Keep the strands you add thin and even.
